The grandest celebration of Indian Cinema, the International Indian Film Academy and Awards, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, is all set to thrill fans with its 22nd edition in Yas Island on June 3-4.
Among those receiving the 10-year visas alongside Salman Khan are Indian superstars Divya Kumar, Genelia Deshmukh, Riteish Deshmukh, Bhushan Kumar, Anees Bazmee and Andre Timmins.
The 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards will be held at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi on March 18-19, 2022, to celebrate the best of Hindi cinema.
War movie "Shershaah" marched off with Best Picture and Best Director as Bollywood's Oscars returned for the first time since the pandemic began with an all-singing, all-dancing awards ceremony in Abu Dhabi.
"Bollywood is a very important window for the world to Indian cultural traditions," Sunjay Sudhir, India's ambassador to the UAE, said in Abu Dhabi.

Performances by Amit Trivedi, Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhbir Singh, Palak Muchhal and Iulia Vantur, were presented by Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao.
The glitzy show follows a box office slump when movie-mad India was hit hard by Covid-19, with US streaming giants such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video rushing to fill the gap.
